on Norderney Island in the east about 500 meters west of the wreck holds at the transition between salt marshes and dunes to a Mornellregenpfeiffer. Mornells in Central Europe in an absolute exception. The species is common in Scotland, before the Scandinavian Fjell, the Kola Peninsula and the North Sea bordering Russian tundra. The world population is estimated to 40000-120000 animals. The Mornell is very little shy, almost friendly towards people. Many thanks to H. Andretzke by BUND
