Silicone Clothing For Burn Victims

Rheinburgenweg Run - Who is coming?

: Bars ,...) and better view of the beauty of the route and Saturday 14:00 (advantage!. . The problem is
Looking at my running calendar me the appalling gap in March, noticed that needed to close strongly for the Brocken-Challenge I have not even registered, so that between Rodgau 50 in January and the 24 h Run-on Seilersee is no major run in April. In regard to challenges of the year, including the Zugspitze and UTMB Ultra Trail I would like to spring a few long (training) runs . Lay

The idea:
Even as I read in October on the way back from Dresden in the outdoor magazine of the Rhine Castle trail, I had the idea that to "conquer" basis. The Rheinburgenweg leads left bank of the Rhine at Remagen on Koblenz through the Upper Middle Rhine Valley to Bingen. The total distance is about 200 km. On the exact altitude I could not find any information yet, but a glance at the height profiles suggest that these are similar to the right bank of the Rhine running trail hiking. The
Rheinburgenweg is fully signposted and is, like the Rhine Route, as unverlaufbar " (Brüller!)

The project:
I have to run half chosen by the Upper Middle Rhine Valley (UNESCO cultural heritage). The route is 104 km from Koblenz to Bingen.

The date I have 12 - Set March 13.

The sections are as follows:

Koblenz - Rhens ~ 13.5 km
Rhens - Bad Salty ~ 15.5 km
Bad Salty - St. Goar ~ 18.0 km St. Goar
- Oberwesel ~ 9 , 0 km
Oberwesel - ~ 14.0 km
Bacharach Bacharach - Trechtinghausen ~ 17.0 km
Trechtinghausen - Bingen / Bingerbrück ~ 17.0 km
total: 104 km

The total running time, I guess at max. 20 hours. Hence the required start time. Since I do not arrive in the middle of the night in Bingen, should start at some point be in the early afternoon (or we start early in the morning (at night) and arrive in the late evening).

More details:
- non-stop run (clear)
- private group delay
- Complete self-catering (gas station in Oberwesel at km 56, otherwise, pubs, etc., remaining in backpack)
- Meeting point: train station Bingerbrück
- Transportation: Common car parking at the destination, shared ride to the start in Koblenz
- Luggage: Target deposited in the baggage car Bingerbrück
- After the race: breakfast or lunch at Cafe / Restaurant in Bingen / Bingerbrück

details are of course negotiable. So far this

What S A Half Head Of Highlights?

Small Kobolt - How was the pain?

The pain goes - is the pride? Well, therefore I would soon be mighty proud - if the pride is in direct relation to the pain.
Now I can already get in under 2 minutes from the bed to the bathroom and when I move more, like this 50 meters at a stretch is it any better.
Yesterday around 15:00 am I got together with Tom to the finish. 28 h, we were gathered together and had pain and suffering and shared each other motivated and supported. Thanks Tom, was' ne great thing.
At 11:00 we were started the day before in Koblenz. Antje had driven me, actually I wanted to travel by train but by car it was convenient. Our friend Joachim run "Josi" Siller had chosen the path for getting from Mainz and had taken the same train as me. But unfortunately, his train is delayed and "my" train had not waited so that he thus could not run with unfortunately. Very sad Josi.
were against but our problems to find the starting point is negligible. There we met Tom, Michael and the rest of the insane. Of the 25 declared runners were still 17 left. When the starting number was still properly control the mandatory equipment (I like that, usually, the only so threatened, not made, see Marathon des Sables). After a short briefing we were off route. Most went to my amazement as the same as the fire department. Tom and I held back and were walking in the back third. First, it was time for us to get used to the signs. I knew this but our Bretzelwetzer-Rheinsteig hikes, but over the pace is something different than the rambling step. We have also in the official pathfinding Bretzelwetzern yes, which one must run just behind :-).
The Rheinsteig trail signs is really excellent, but it applies: "Eyes on when buying eggs." And which is not really always succeeded.
After the first 15 km we have been able to find relief that the conditions were not as bad as feared. Although there was snow, so running is more tiring, but the snow was very crisp and well and running. Only on steep sections it was often a bit slippery. But luckily I had my sticks with. It was not sooo cold as the days before and during movement was to hold out quite well. I am the complete range in the same clothes have gone through and used by the AC / extra clothing in backpack and Dropbag nothing. Thus, the
ran km to to the first board at km 35 quite well. A few times we had "lost" and thus has about 3 km, in addition to the account. Most of it went like this, it trots in front of him, you realize suddenly that you have seen long time no shield and runs back to the last marker. And another 500 m to much. Or you walk behind someone who is wrong. So we are once walked a few hundred yards behind Andrew, who suddenly turned left. We naturally without thinking behind. To Andreas at once, after about 1000 m, irritated stopped - and so do we. And back again.
As it was getting dark, we arrived at VP first There, waiting for one of the organizers, Andrew, with his on us Buffet. So, I must say it that is in the invitation, there is only water, tea and soup, you've been driving quite a bit. It was everything you could wish for ultra heart, that is, no gels or bars, but real food, like pretzels, chocolate, sweets, biscuits, sausage, etc. And of course, soup, broth, cola, root beer, tea ... At
VP 1, we met again Andrew and Hans-Peter, who could beat our 3 km detour with its 7 km (which should have given us food for thought - later).
We walked further along with Andrew, what way-find-was very good technically, because Andrew was very attentive. And he was well equipped. As Tom said so well: What's better than a headlamp? Two headlamps. Because Andrew had to. The telling, we found that we, Andrew and me, had overtaken 3 months ago the same fate. We had been sitting together with 1000 other runners in a hall in Chamonix and waited for the start of the TDS.
ran So, we went together to trudge VP 2 - among other things, quite steep, secured by ropes, which were the basis of the ground a little tricky.
The good thing was always where to go high, it is also down again. And the Rhine is not a high mountain climbing. So you have about 200 - 300 hm always necessarily a downward passage at which you will - mostly to recover.
to 22 clock we came together VP 2 at. There were 6 runners assembled, 2 of them got out of here. And Andreas, it was not good, he had problems in the foot, so that Tom and I ran on alone. Relatively soon after we came to a fork VP2 that was not posted, back then. On the way back we came to meet Hans-Peter, who said, according to his GPS was this the right way. Unfortunately, we could convince us of this and ran with. Still no sign, but according to GPS, we were right on the track. So going further with the GPS, which Hans-Peter, what he revealed to us after 20 minutes, had for a week. Uaaaahhh. But then, after 5 km Rheinsteig finally another sign - we were back on track and 100 m in front of us - 2nd VP Yippee.
(subsequent to John's vindication: As I have just learned, was changed in this area in May, the track and it seem even more outdated GPS tracks in circulation declares result, also, that after a few km a lonely Rheinsteig. characters have seen).
We then started to leave us on our eyes, which we barely managed as a right. Morally, something cracked so we went on his way to VP 3, which should be at km 87th We planned to be so at 3:00, but we were not progressing so well. Once the track was too heavy to run in a reasonably good pace, on the other we always had again with little tricks in there. Interestingly, mostly in the villages. They will automatically paying attention, probably because you suddenly feel more secure. Interestingly, it was also hit at night by Linz at 3:00 to walk and to young people who went straight home. Funny faces have made.
clock at 4:00, we arrived at VP3, where our Dropbags were deposited. I packed a change of clothes, all from the backpack into the Dropbag and filled only on my Peroninvorrat. After that, my backpack was nice and light. As we were about to leave, said Andreas in to VP3. He was sitting at the station in drake and ask if he could pick up someone. The foot had a run not to grow.
Tom and I continued to run and went on his way to Erpeler Ley. According to this route briefing should be mounted as part of the way, what we were naturally good. This showed that a glance at the map would have been smart. Because we should be so high and just back down. So on the same path. But we are down a different route and arrived after about 2 km - Attention Deja Vue - 200 m above 3 at VP. But now we knew already, and made us on the 2nd attempt. But this time without the climb.
Slowly we began again to be expected. How far could it be, as far as we are officially gone, because in Toms Garmin We could count any more. Very confusing here was a signpost, on the stand "Honnef 11.9 km. If the vote would, we would have again fallen behind track technically about VP3 back. I just looked at me again on the map, the sign is almost on the outskirts of Honnef, why there is 11.9 km is beyond me and for our morale it was not just beneficial. We beat us, then on through, about 8 clock the sun came up and after climbing the Lion's Castle, we came to VP4 at 10:00 clock. Again, the supply was again unique and caring. Officially, now at km 115, according to Garmin about at 128 So another 25 km and 6 hours. Should provide, if nothing goes wrong!
a bit but what is gone wrong. After climbing to the Drachenfelsen we came down to the milk house, where we missed probably the branch (But I heard later that was also found difficult. YES! So we were back on unmarked route and interviewed two cyclists. The thought that we are already working and should just keep running and keep left. Unfortunately, we got a 2nd opinion and asked a pedestrian on the direction of Peter Berg. The told us to Peter Berg, it would be pretty far and that would be the wrong direction. So back again. the milk house, we found the right way and ran it for 500 meters and then come back to the wrong way out. So we decided to back the tip of the cyclists to follow. After a short time led the way in fact of the Rhine climb, but we did not know in which direction we had to run. After a short discussion and study of maps, we chose a direction (three guesses ...). While Tom still labored on his shoes, I ran ever before and after a few meters, it went steeply up to Geisberg. When I was almost on top of Tom came down and we discussed first in the distance. Tom said that he had ever run up the mountain with Rolf Mahlburg. But Rolf the Rheinsteig runs in the opposite direction. So I said, "if you're running up the hill, we have to get off, and ran down again. Below, we looked again at the map, discussed and - :-) - ran again. As above, we then saw the sign 'milk house 800 m' was clear: we have used for 800 m an hour. But at least we know now back where we had to run. And from here we have not run to the finish!
It was therefore more on the Petersberg, where I explained a few uncomprehending wall, which we continue to Bonn around toward the target. Furthermore, constantly up and down, but not so bad. The last few km were very tough and painful, the run rate dropped dramatically in the plane. But emerged as the first Bonn-distance signs, we knew we could do it and started the same again, be expected if we could stay under 28 hours. Around 14:30 we arrived in Bonn Beuel and still needed all 25 minutes for about 3 km to the finish.
came after 27h 57min, official and unofficial 155 km 140.5 km we finally happy and broke on to the Fitness Center, where the organizers had rented a room. There we were greeted with great excitement. As expected, there was everything you could wish for and a lot of care and encouragement.
After shower, ceremony and a bit of experience (who has run out and how) I Toms Gabi has kindly gone to the station where I was able to Mainz ICE grab a seat on the floor in front of the toilet. And I just got drunk tomorrow my coffee from my new Kobolttasse, I realized that that's true with pride. Now just have to go the pain.
What insights remain?
- I can run 150 km at a stretch
- I can run 28 hours at a stretch
- I could survive by Powerbar Ride Shots and Peronin (I think)
- It pays sometimes to look at the map
- It should not be increasingly rely on technology
and above all
The little goblin is a great ride, nice and organized person, by runners for runners, very demanding, an absolute house number. I felt very comfortable and will determined to come back. The most tricky places I know her now. And next year, so each branch is also sprinkled with sawdust, I have heard. But you can really ask ;-)

Nikon D60 Spotting Scope

That's it ...!

Oooh oh oh, now it is so far, my last blog entry! Krass krass krass, go so fast ... In the end I will now give even just a little more quickly conclusion of my year:

During the year, I thought to myself often so "And this is therefore the best year of my life? "Well go, so ...". Now in retrospect I think, though: Absolutely! I think you realize in hindsight how great it was eigtl. Back in Germany, everything is simple as always. The au pair year seems unfortunately zurückzusein soo far, in the beginning can be a little bit about it, interested by the third meeting, but nobody is really more for it. Furthermore, people can simply not understand everything. Stories of 3 year old boys can nunmal also not interested in anyone who is already clear to me:-D

Well, here and there of often quite large boredom opens, you have just way too much time to think about the Au Pair year and Suddenly, one can imagine nothing better than to take care of his children and the Au Pair although during the year as often thought, "Whoa, hey, I'll never take care of children." But present t I miss Will and Ben soo much! At least I had a year to watch them responsibility, have 9 hours a day on it was the morning of Will awaken is either rumgesprungen on my bed or has snuggled under my blanket, have listened to Ben and Will have been arguing who can tell me that there is dinner, they've put to bed uuuuuund and and. It was almost around the clock with them and suddenly they're gone. I always fall sooo many little moments that in retrospect were just soo beautiful.

And I miss not only the children but also my host parents. The warning simply the coolest Far and Wide! first time my host mother Annie, always cheerful, open, energetic, tolerant, understanding, relaxed, etc. The best example I always kind to her colle 've probably always been that I do at night to ring up 3 ausm bed had my car in encouraging Highway Exit the Spirit had given up and they trotzdm with a beam on his face got in his pajamas, took care not primarily to do with cars but has first asked us " Hey girls, did you have fun? " and I so "Uh yeah, but the car ..." and so "Oh do not worry, it's an old car, it's not your fault." waited with us for the tow, and then after each has driven home in high spirits. Some other host parents would probably have been foul-accurate 8 hours ... when we went to Mt Rushmore long so she said to me when we have a problem I should call, it can be somewhat take longer until it is there, but they will come: D And even thought a little girl so "Is she the nanny?" and then Annie said "No, she's part of our family." Ok, I could list 100 more Ex, but I let it'd better: D

And my Hostdad Chris is anyway the very cool, a totally calm and relaxed nervous type that is always helpful, not worry too seems to have, sometimes not ne too big clue that ("What do you want to drink have? Frankly, I do not know what we have there, but I thought that I'll still sometimes wonder."), for hours in the basement with his spend Baseball Cards ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_pvUtsdExM - that he is, so he spends hours and earned a lot of money) and just all around likeable is!.

And then there so of course the other au pairs with whom one has spent most of his spare time and without the year would be only half have been that great. That's a big difference to Dtld;. In the United States was known whom to call and who can have time in Dtld. is always a big gimmicks, then can not and there is, and here and there. In the United States simply al les was so much easy, you have to put in the car and has been injected. You could do so much, stroll through the mall, to the best ice cream shops go, Starbucks, the lake, cinema scrapbooking, concerts and so on. Man has always found something! And now we are all scattered in total Dtld. All are whining on how much we want it back again, but also all know that it is nunmal not be as it once was. Well, this is nunmal.
the luxury to be honest I miss a little bit ... my own car, mobile phone mitm so much as you want, spend his time in great houses, get $ 197 a week, sometimes just book Bahamas, then back Chicago or New York and and and ... but you could already make a lot ...;-)

Well, but now I'm just back in Germany and is not so bad here, but in the U.S. wars just somehow better ...
Thanks to all who have ever read along pretty busy and have boosted my counters (I had with Janice that is always NEN little "competition" Who has more visitors: D). It pays to remain over, one probably yes, I read sometime back that in here or alternate a few pictures and videos inside ...! And to all who take a gap year to consider: it makes! And who has questions may write me ;-)

That's it, that's it, I'm done, your
Sandra

ps: here are 2 nice sayings about an exchange year, which really agree 100%!
"An exchange year is like a ride on a roller coaster.
First, you really want to go with it and is very intrigued by the idea, then it goes schnell.Man must enter and then come the first queasy feelings. Then there are high and it goes very Tiefs.Aber schnell.Am end one is a bit sad that it's over, a bit proud that you survived it pleased solid ground under their feet would actually habenund sit love to stay again and go. "
Dieses hier bringt so ziemlich jedes Au Pair beim erstmaligen Lesen zum Weinen:
"A year has passed and now we stand on the brink of returning to a world where we are surrounded by the paradox of everything and yet nothing being the same. In a few weeks we will reluctantly give our hugs and fighting the tears, say goodbye to people who were once just names on a sheet of paper to return to the people we hugged and fought tears to say goodbye too, before we ever left. We will leave our best friends to return to our best friends. We will go back to the places we came from and go back to the same things we did last summer and every summer before. We will come into our town on that same familiar road, and although it has been months, it will seem like only yesterday. As you walk into your old bedroom, every emotion will pass through you as you reflect on the way your life has changed and the person you became. You suddenly realize that things that were the most important to you a year ago, don't seem to matter much anymore, and the things you hold highest now, no one at home will completely understand. Who will you call first? What will you do your first weekend at home? What has everyone been up to the last few months? Then you start to realize how much things have changed...you realize the hardest part of being an Au Pair is to balance the two completely different worlds you now live in, trying desperately hold on to everything while trying to figure out what you´ve left behind. We know the meaning of true friendship. We know who have kept in touch with us over the past year and who we hold dearest to our hearts. There have been times when we've felt so helpless being hours away from home when you know your friends and family needed you the most. A few weeks from now we will leave... A few weeks from now we will take down our pictures and pack up our clothes. We will leave our friends whose random phone calls and mails brought us to laughter and tears this summer, and hopefully years to come! We will take our memories and dreams and put them away for now, saving them for our return to this world. A few weeks from now we will arrive. We will unpack our bags and have dinner with our familys. We will drive over to our best friend's house. We will return to the same friends Whose random phone calls and emails have brought us laughter and tears over the year.We will unpack old memories and dreams that have been put away for a long time ... In a few weeks we will dig deep inside to find the strength and conviction to adjust changing and still keep each other close. And somehow, in someway, find our place between these two worlds. In about a month ... are you ready? "

Streaming Training Ofo

Hello Germany!

Friday night I finally landed in Frankfurt against 17.3oUhr!
Because I was so again in Dtld ... weird feeling, I was met by my father and also was Anka still at the airport (the former au pair from Minnesota, the airport to the radar dwells), which made me very happy:)
MitM train then went home and I meant to change trains once fascinated "Look, there is only so NEN your place, that's funny". Um think not, in short, I'm back in Dtld., There's a place your business normally. Oook: D

When we last left mitm car drove home everything seemed the same as always - very little has changed, but otherwise I thought the only way "okay, as always halt." At home, my sister then released NEN little cry at the door and when I entered the house was at one time suddenly music, from the one direction were friends, then I turn around and see from the other side are even more friends, plus live music with DCC beszogenen text me - well cool! I was totally ausm H äuschen, I'm sooooooooo glad that I had better not beat me to imagine! This gabs then gaaaaanz to eat very much, to be honest even threw way too much: D All I was doing in the first few weeks time to eat then There Were already on the night: D Was really really really nice
and when the last guests have made about midnight on the way home I was now almost 30 hours, but still totally stripped. I'm only for the first time in my room, but which more genuine even looked exactly as usual. When I was in bed I thought only "When I was the last time here I thought: now we go to the United States." As pronounced, and now I was back and had the whole year behind me, really weird!

The next few days warning derecognised still pretty neat and I had jet lag, so then I slept until the afternoon at 4 o'clock at night and was a lunch to dinner warmed up and was verspeisst in bed. Unfortunately, I've also grown here again! Hard to believe but true, in the U.S. I had actually decreased! Something's going wrong: D

The conclusion of my Au Pair year and Dtld. then gives the next Times .. (I like it that is not, when entries are too long: D) los

Non Oily Face Moisturizer

day 7 to the end - San Francisco

on Sat morning we went to the last stop on our tour: San Francisco. Around noon we arrived Displays and have picnics in front of the skyline of SF. E s was very cold! Therefore, the first case ausm trailer loaded and sweaters herausgekram t. And in California, incredible: D After that we still have a short stop at the Golden Gate Bridge made, although it was snowed under by the fog. Then our guide Bill sold us by and by, however, until he had found the last drop-off near the airport, it took "a little" longer : D And then it was over, the trip on which I had just got sooo long. It was really cool hammer and I would love to make such a trip again.
Then I rode the train to Berkeley, where I of Stephanie, her host father and the guest children were picked up. There I spent my last days and one day I'm with Dominic and Nina, who I had met during the tour to San Francisco and was the last time shopping at American Eagle ♥: fell (the farewell to me really hard .. .:-D

!
The other day I spent cozy with Stephanie and her kids and was busy with packing. What one probably would be worth mentioning is that the house was turned on the heater and I was wrapped in a sweater, because it only had about 14 ° C and in July in San Francisco, California! Incredible: D

On Thursday 22 July, I then made n to 15h on the airport ... A year ago, Stephanie had said goodbye at the airport in Franfkurt, now here she was again the last of which I have adopted me! At the airport I was glad when I finally got my luggage was going on and Fortunately, everything went well and then I myself with my last money bought a book that I have not read, and then had no money left to eat to what to buy me -.- Well Sandra ...!

To 18.30Uhr was then boarding time and to 19.25Uhr was the start towards Zurich ... the plane was great I had leg room and each had its own TV with super movies. During the flight 11stündigen I slept an hour at most, because I just found a good position. That you could move to adjust the headrest and I stupidly only 60min. before landing ...:- D noted on Friday, July 23, at 15h am I then landed in Zurich and suddenly all talk German again .... from there it went again 50min. to Zurich, in between I nearly died of thirst, because suddenly there was no free water left and I had no Swiss francs to buy me something (good, anyway I had no more money: D). As it went in then Dtld her experiences in the next entry.

What Do You Need To Recap Bottles

Day 6 - Yosemite National Park

The next morning went off then to Yosemite National Park First, we made a stop in e iner beautiful mountain scenery, then g ings on to a lookout point over the mountains and Rock (a very famous rock was there, I've forgotten the name ...) and then we went into a forest, where we did a little walking tour.

where we passed the giant-quality trees, which had an incredibly large diameter! A tree trunk, which lay on the ground was hollowed out, so that one could easily pass through it! On the way back tour guide Bill had the idea to organize the 2km b ergauf to a little race. He and the two boys and I were there and Katrina, but Katrina had given up at the end and I was the winner of the women, uuuh yeah:-D Habs dana ch but unfortunately some regret, as you again sooo sweat came, half day or before a lay and Bill then mentioned that there will be cheer camp no showers - guuuut:-D But fortunately there's so many seas, - )

Then we went to the "center" of the park, where shuttle buses were at all possible stations in the park and many people were on the road. I'm with Julia and Ursula went to a small lake where you could cool off nicely. We also passed the largest waterfall in North America (largest = longest.)
had

first used as twilight had we arrived on our bib Campingp where we had to quickly set up our tents and everything smelling stuff (including toothbrush, deodorant, etc.) into a "Bärenbox" stow had, as there are many bears in the park and they are attracted by odors ... So there were no showers (!) and light it on the toilet was not ...:- D There was equipped with a guide, which has described what to do if a bear comes to the campsite. The program should then make it sooooo much noise ... ok:-D

The evening was very comfortable, was unfortunately our last night camping. (Can store stuff you have to smell, but then you cook, even illogical iwie ^ ^) Our first dinner was ready at 22.30, followed Thats has Smores and fortune cookies, a few funny stories and then we went off for the last time in the tents. The next day, our last stop was San Francisco on the map.

Day 5 - Death Valley, Sierra Nevada

The Thursday should be a hot day - the Sierra Nevada was our goal, with stops at the hottest place on earth, Death Valley (on that day they were there for about 50 ° C) .

At our first stop in Death Valley it was actually still with the heat. We were accustomed to Las Vegas as much as 44 ° C, so it is perhaps not quite as bad influences us GE . At our next stop wars but even more blatant and the sun burned our skin like never before. The landscape looked totally awesome, totally dried up and died out, really totally crazy! I found very impressive ...!

Overall, we made four stops, each of about 10 minutes. (Then it was a bit too hot), with each stop seemed to be hot: D

Our last stop was in sand dunes, in which some of the same in the car bli just because they do not again want to get out in the heat: D The sand was incredibly hot, I was the only girl the proper shoes (wearing Janine had been cut in Death Valley to the salt licks her foot because she slipped with her flip flops, so I put on that day as a precaution closed shoes) and even through they were my feet really hot! The girls with the flip flops were a few seconds in the sand even back down from him: D

In the Van, I had that day, unfortunately the bad luck in the last to sit in row (each have has changed day by) in which the air conditioning worked the least. to sweat It was amazing, you just could not stop and I was sweating the whole time completely wet: D-War was sometimes experience worth ne ^ ^

On our campsite there again with the temperature. After a delicious dinner em (Chilli) with a beautiful sunset and are cows in the background, "said tour guide Bill" Are you all ready? Then purely in your swimsuit and off in the van! " None of us had any idea where it was going away, was, after all, already 10 o'clock and pitch dark. After we parked, we still had no idea we were in full swing for in the dark, no lights for miles, only the clear night sky brought a little brightness. Thanks to Bill's flashlight we could see the target then, however: a hot cave in the middle of nature! We were there for about 1 hour and it was just nice hammer! Sarah even said that this is probably one of the most beautiful things she has ever seen ;-) It was really super super nice and the sky was that night also wonderful with lots of shooting stars. How romantic:-D

Back cheer camp we went into the tents, because we wanted to finally be fit for the next day in Yosemite National Park!
a nice evening to you all.
