Rheinburgenweg Run - Who is coming?
: Bars ,...) and better view of the beauty of the route and Saturday 14:00 (advantage!. . The problem is
Looking at my running calendar me the appalling gap in March, noticed that needed to close strongly for the Brocken-Challenge I have not even registered, so that between Rodgau 50 in January and the 24 h Run-on Seilersee is no major run in April. In regard to challenges of the year, including the Zugspitze and UTMB Ultra Trail I would like to spring a few long (training) runs . Lay
The idea:
Even as I read in October on the way back from Dresden in the outdoor magazine of the Rhine Castle trail, I had the idea that to "conquer" basis. The Rheinburgenweg leads left bank of the Rhine at Remagen on Koblenz through the Upper Middle Rhine Valley to Bingen. The total distance is about 200 km. On the exact altitude I could not find any information yet, but a glance at the height profiles suggest that these are similar to the right bank of the Rhine running trail hiking. The
Rheinburgenweg is fully signposted and is, like the Rhine Route, as unverlaufbar " (Brüller!)
The project:
I have to run half chosen by the Upper Middle Rhine Valley (UNESCO cultural heritage). The route is 104 km from Koblenz to Bingen.
The date I have 12 - Set March 13.
The sections are as follows:
Koblenz - Rhens ~ 13.5 km
Rhens - Bad Salty ~ 15.5 km
Bad Salty - St. Goar ~ 18.0 km St. Goar
- Oberwesel ~ 9 , 0 km
Oberwesel - ~ 14.0 km
Bacharach Bacharach - Trechtinghausen ~ 17.0 km
Trechtinghausen - Bingen / Bingerbrück ~ 17.0 km
total: 104 km
The total running time, I guess at max. 20 hours. Hence the required start time. Since I do not arrive in the middle of the night in Bingen, should start at some point be in the early afternoon (or we start early in the morning (at night) and arrive in the late evening).
More details:
- non-stop run (clear)
- private group delay
- Complete self-catering (gas station in Oberwesel at km 56, otherwise, pubs, etc., remaining in backpack)
- Meeting point: train station Bingerbrück
- Transportation: Common car parking at the destination, shared ride to the start in Koblenz
- Luggage: Target deposited in the baggage car Bingerbrück
- After the race: breakfast or lunch at Cafe / Restaurant in Bingen / Bingerbrück
details are of course negotiable. So far this
