On Norderney you quickly with nicknames and descriptions. When about ten years ago the port was rebuilt, they were very surprised that the little Norderneyer in the planning were involved. The port was planned according to the requirements of a modern container handling port and rebuilt, tourism has played no role. Many lamps (which also burn all night) and wide pads, fully sealed with red patches. In the vernacular of the port was granted the name "Red Square".
